Garth is a well trained and experienced man, whose cunning and fierce but kind attitude has saved him from many conflicts, both armed and personal. As not having, not a mother, nor a father, his combat and warlike life was encouraged by his uncle, and forged during his childhood adolescence in street fights parting from boys to adults as well.
By wielding his trusty sword, Garth took part in several wars, aided armies as a renegade warrior and freed towns from civil wars, until we was defeated in a previous war by a female vixen witch who Garth was uncapable to kill, (for her being a woman), while aiding the soldiers from Netsavare fight desert thieves and vixens in the Netsavare wasteland. Taken as a war prisoner by the thieves and as a war trophy and future ritual ingredient by the witch, Garth spent two years held on a fortress cell in the outskirts of Netsavare, and forced to use an iron mask, sealed permanently with a fire spell to his face.
After 7 months of captivity and regret he saw his chance; he helped one of the prisoners to escape the fortress, a young girl named Therese, who claimed to be friends with King Kuenkel of Netsavare. Garth sent her with a letter, directed to King Kuenkel asking for help. But there was no response, what gave Garth the idea that Therese forgot about him, and that everything was a lie.
After the 24th month, he was intended to be used as a sacrifice by the vixens with other soldiers held captive. Moments before his sacrifice, he took advantage of a disturbance cause by the thieves claiming part of a loot that never existed, and managed to break through his cell to the outside of the heavily armed fortress.
Wandering during three days and four nights, Garth saw how his life was being taken by wounds, thirst, hunger and weakness itself, and fell unconscious to the ground sands of the desert, with a strange feeling of regret and hatred towards Kuenkel, who apparently did nothing to aid his soldiers. He then woke up on a nearby village in Cesedria, thanks to some travelers who aided his ill body and healed his wounds, but were unable to remove his mask. After trying to remove it by force, he knew the only chance was to meet a powerful spell caster to dispel what was casted on him.
He was told that maybe, the Sacred Queen Tivarece may help unbind that powerful spell, and so he headed towards the Cesedrian capital hoping to find the queen to aid his needs.
As he got there, he saw how the people treated him in a depictive way due to his hideously dirty appearance, making him even more hostile and aggressive than those days as a prisoner. But as a fire arose in the city, Garth saved a lot of people by entering de blazing central plaza and rescuing the merchants, among them, a small family of an old man and his daughter, Elise, travelling merchants from Hordaine, and gained respect within the folk of Cesedria. Having nowhere else to live, Garth was accepted by the people, and stayed in the Cesedrian capital for a chance.
Stories of the masked savior and his miserable curse were spoken across the castle halls, and eventually reached queen Tivarece, who sought for Garth, and offered her aids to the mask renegade.
After living a hell of a nightmare, being captive, suffered from sickness, starvation and disease, and even peoples rejection, Sacred Queen Tivarece dispelled the seal on his mask, being this an extremely painful but relieved experience. Tivarece may have removed the iron mask, but this one had already burnt part of Garths face, leaving scars as crosses in it, and as the mask lifted, so was Garths skin.
Tivarece cried, and felt sorry for Garths pain during the mask removal, but the renegade did nothing but calm her down, smiling, because for the first time in months, he felt the need of smiling, and people could actually see him smile; Tivarece saw a sturdy, but extremely admiring heart in Garth, and after that, he stayed in the castle for a couple of days.
During that time, both Garth and Tivarece learned from themselves, as Garth told her his lifelong stories ever since he was a stubborn ad fighting young lad and what the real world looked like, and Tivarece taught him about how life is beautiful enough despite the hardships of health and death. He felt very appreciated towards Queen Tivarece and the people in Cesedria, but knew he had other things to do, and one of them, was to go to Netsavare and find about Thereses whereabouts. I sense your road is a tideous blurry walkway. I sake for your safety, please take this , were the words of the Queen as she gave him a cape, some garbs different from the Cesedrian army, and a powerful alchemic blade. May this not be a nut that ties you with us, but a light of hope, for you and for others in your path. Please enlighten your life, and make others lives a beautiful garden that may flourish around you. You have a quest, go for it and live the happiness of life itself.
Since then, Garth was known in many places as the Soldier of Aggressive smile, something which exaggerates his always smiling face, due to his unusual, but effective way to settle peoples problems with a rude, but warm attitude. Everywhere he goes, stays, fights, he always remembers the words he heard from Sacred Queen Tivarece as he left the castle doors.
